Although the Hotel Console is not needed on the newer modern Hotel Telephone Systems the Hotel Console is used so Hotel Clerks can see the status of the Hotel Telephone System as far as what the status of the rooms are and what phone line is being occupied and what extension is off hook in use and for ease of transferring calls to guests occupying rooms.

The phone the console is connected to provides the same type of key for smaller Hotels or Motels.

The Hotel Console can also provide one touch speed dials for frequently dialed numbers or features of the phone system.
